Why A Virtual Assistant Needs A Professional Website
If you had to take a final exam to determine how well you will
succeed with your Virtual Assistant business, your online business
presence would probably account for eighty percent of your grade.
It's your first impression and we all know how important they are. It's
not just the first thing that most people will experience when they come
to check you out; it has to take your place in a virtual way. Your
website should reach out to shake their hand and make them feel
comfortable about initiating a new business relationship with you.
Do you get a majority of your new clients through word of mouth
recommendations and think that your website isn't that important? Look
at it from a new perspective. When a current client recommends you to a
business associate they arrive at your site to see things looking
disheveled and out of date. How would that reflect on your valued
clients? You are a representation of their business excellence.
Give your website a clean, contemporary business design and avoid doing
anything cutesy. Cute doesn't inspire confidence and above all else you
want your potential visitors to feel confident about their decision to
hire you as their new virtual assistant.
If you are not a gifted designer do outsource the project to someone
with more skill. Especially consider hiring an experienced graphic
designer to create your website header and any promotional graphics you
want to use. It is worth the extra expense to get everything right the
first time. There is a difference between graphics that have been
created by an expert and those created by someone who dabbles in it.
Virtual assistants and any other online business professional who will
take the time and go to the extra expense of developing a top notch
business site will find that they attract more clients and are able to
command a higher rate for their time. Now that's a thought that will
have you taking a fresh look at your website pretty soon isn't it?
If you're not sure where you stand with your website today, ask a
respected colleague for an honest critique. Invite them to give you some
specific likes and dislikes about your website and to be sure to let you
know if any questions pop into their mind that your site doesn't answer.
These are important cures to you and will help you to improve your site,
making it work harder for you which is what we all want.

businesses quickly and are showing you how to do the same thing in their
